I am particularly interested in stories that illustrate how the unequal treatment of women in medicine has a negative effect on everyone, and I’d like to gather stories of all shapes and sizes—from physicians, patients, nurses, moms, and even men.
"Do you believe that you were not taken seriously or given optimal treatment because of your gender? Did you ever wonder if your physician received the same access to the resources you needed for your health? You don’t have to be a physician, nurse, or healthcare worker to have seen or felt the effects — you just have to be someone who has been to the doctor, has taken medication, has followed the advice of a medical study, has tried to obtain heath insurance or has navigated the healthcare system in any way with difficulty due to gender-related issues."

I told my pulmonary specialist about chocking while trying to drink water and he said that I can't die chocking on water. He should try it. Very scary.
